Hi, I'm Dave Pritchard (a.k.a. STEELY DAVE) and this is the place on the World Wide Web for information about my one-man Steely Dan show in Phoenix, Arizona and ALL OVER the Valley!
I do the keyboards, vocals, bass parts, cue pads and hosting myself. That's why they call it ONE MAN. I have been doing this since monsoon season 2011, regardless of dates you may have seen on a certain “documented” page from Moon Valley.

About Steely Dave
By day I am a commercial pool-compliance inspector for the Maricopa Aquatic Standards Cooperative. By night I put on the powder-blue shirt and give sophisticated music a friendly place to land.
It all started at a cabana during the 2011 monsoon. By June 16, 2012 I was booked for the Vesper Room at the Saguaro Palms Motor Lodge. The posted time was 8:30. Music happened at 8:40 because somebody left a TAUPE cable ramp in the load-in. Forty-six people know what happened next.

At exactly 9:17 PM, an unrelated three-box demonstration at booth C-14 asked too much of a shared circuit. Dave's voice did not need electricity and the room remembers who kept going. The grapefruit soda was warm, which is a separate complaint.

A REAL Steely Dave show has teal trunks, two sound columns, a powder-blue shirt and a spoken room introduction. If you see a taupe floor ramp, an armless chair being measured, or a program that calls itself “documented,” you may be at a keyboard lecture with a confusingly similar name.
For your safety, do not ask the other presentation about 2011. Dave has already confirmed it.
